At the age of 18, Angie began painting and selling her artworks to tourists in Comuna 13. This experience not only nurtured her artistic talents but also motivated her to learn English, enabling her to convey the meaning behind her creations to international visitors.
Her interactions with tourists deepened her appreciation for cultural exchange and storytelling, eventually leading her to become a tour guide in Medellín, where she shared the rich history and vibrant art scene of her community.
Angie honed her artistic voice through both formal training and self-guided exploration, including a course at the Milan Art Institute. Her paintings celebrate resilience and beauty, weaving themes of connection, transformation, and serenity into every piece.
Currently, Angie is working on a captivating new series for shows in New York City, showcasing her evolving style and passion. She looks forward to sharing her art with a broader audience, inviting them to experience the world through her unique perspective.
